Summer Meals for Neighborhood Children

When school is out, thousands of children must search for meals outside their school cafeteria – and too often these foods cannot be found at home. USDA’s Seamless Summer Nutrition Program bridges the gap by providing FREE meals to children in our area. Telfair County Board of Education sponsors the program. Children who are 18 years of age or younger may enter one of these sites and be fed a meal. Meals must be eaten on site. Approved sites are listed below. Meals will be provided Monday through Friday May 23, 2012 to July 20, 2012 and will be served between 11:15 and 12:00 Noon. Check the site’s poster for exact times.  The program will be closed from July 2-6, 2012.
